Biography
THEATRE
Pip her first performance on stage was in 2003, when she was 9 years old.
Her first part was Marta in the musical ‘The Sound of Music’ (Joop van den Ende Theaterproducties).
In 2004 Pip appeared in the children’s choir of the musical ‘Hamelen’ (V&V Entertainment).
In the theatrical performance ‘Echt iets om naar toe te leven…’ in 2007 of dramatist/actor Arjan Ederveen (Toneelgroep Amsterdam), Pip played the part of ‘Susan’ .
In 2012, ‘Lef! Theater’ productions chose Pip to be the main character in the musical ‘Lover of Loser’, according to the book by the Dutch writer Carry Slee. This show was the first interactive musical in its genre worldwide, where the audience is responsible for the continuation and the role of the actors, by using voting cards during the play.
Choreography of the production by Dan Karaty and music by Brahim Fouradi.
The show toured through The Netherlands in 2012/2013.
TV
After Pip’s guest appearances on national television in TV-series as ‘Costa!’, ‘Intensive Care’, ‘Shouf Shouf!’, ‘Bithes’ and ‘Evelien’, she earned a supporting part as ‘Lisette de Swaan’ in the drama series ‘Keyzer & De Boer Advocaten’ from 2004 to 2008.
In the short TV-movie ‘Marathon Girl’ from producer/director Maria Peters (Shooting Star) in 2008, Pip played the role of ‘Tanja’, a Gothic Lolita.
The movie was presented on television in several countries just before the start of the Olympic Games in Beijing 2008 as a promotional production of the European Broadcast Union, in order to get children acquainted with sports.
In 2009 Pip had a guest appearance as ‘Belle Lindemans’ in the TV police-series ‘Flikken Maastricht’.
In 2011 Pip played a leading role as ‘Fien’ in the TV-series ‘Naranjina en de Kadekapers’ (Nickelodeon).
In 2012 Disney Channel Benelux launched the Disney TV-show ‘Ontour Pop4You’ on Disney Channel.
Pip represented a main character in the pop band ‘Pop4You’ as ‘Karo’. The songs played in the series have also been released on iTunes and the official video clips ‘Gaan’ and ‘1Kus’ are on YouTube.
‘Pop4You’ actually toured through The Netherlands as a real band to perform on several events, shows and festivals in the Benelux.
In 2010, Pip earned a role in the daily soap opera ‘Goede Tijden Slechte Tijden’ (Dutch version of ‘The Young and The Restless’), playing the character of ‘Wiet van Houten’ from April 2010 till October 2011 (a main role ever since September 2010).
With her comeback in January 2013 Pip is now one of the fixed stars in this popular Dutch TV-series.
MOVIES
In 2009, Pip had a small part in the movie ‘First Mission’ as ‘Lies’.
In 2011, Pip played the role of ‘Marije’ in the thriller ‘De Verbouwing’, according to the book of the Dutch writer Saskia Noort and directed by Will Koopman.
In the summer of 2012, Pip played the part of ‘Maartje’ in the movie ‘Verliefd op Ibiza’, produced/directed by Johan Nijenhuis.
In the RomCom ‘Hartenstraat’ of director Sanne Vogel, Pip appeared in 2013 as ‘mooi meisje Date van Daan’.
Pip plays the role of ‘Klaartje’ in the movie ‘Michiel de Ruyter’ (international title ‘The Admiral’). This Dutch movie production, directed by Roel Reiné, tells the story of one of the biggest Dutch naval heroes of the 17th Century, being a legend that was more powerful than the ruling House of Orange.
The movie is planned to be presented in theaters in January 2015.
VOICE ACTING
Voice acting has been an important aspect in Pip’s career.
She’s a popular choice for voice acting in TV-series and movies.
In 2004, her very first voice over was in the movie ‘Garfield’.
Ever since, you will hear her voice in film productions, such as ‘Ice Age 3’, ‘Madagascar’, ‘Over the Hedge’, ‘Horton hears a Who’ (role Jessica), ‘Marmaduke’ (role Barbara Winslow), ‘Despicable Me 1 & 2’ (role Margo), ‘Rango’ (role Priscilla), ‘Paranorman’ (role Salma), ‘Wreck it Ralph’ (role Moppet Girl), e.a.
And in TV-series, where her voice is Sam in ‘iCarly’ and ‘Sam & Cat’ (Nickelodeon), ‘Little Einsteins’ (role Annie), ‘Bakugan’ (role Julie), ‘Little Kingdom’ (role Suzy Crabgrass), ‘Strawberry Shortcake’ (role Strawberry), ‘Zeg maar Gio’ (role Sylvana) and ‘Phil of the Future’ (role Keely).
Jetix/Disney XD used Pip’s voice for ‘The Suite Life of Zack & Cody’ (role Barbara). And in ‘Me & My Monsters’ (role Angela), ‘Monster High’ (role Operetta), ‘Polly Pocket’ (Lila), ‘Shake it Up’ (role Cece), ‘Mr. Peabody & Sherman’ (role Penny), ‘Legend of Korra (Avatar)’ (role Korra), ‘Infamous Son’ (role Fetch), ‘Lego, the Movie’ (role Princess Kittymix), ‘Evermoor’ (role Bella), e.a.
VTech, a worldwide developer of children’s toys, became the winner of the Toys Award 2013 with their first Interactive Bear (cuddly animal).
Pip gave voice to this very successful, high developed, technical toy for children.
OTHER
Next to acting, voice-acting and singing, Pip would like to expand her field by presenting TV-shows.
Her first introduction to being a presenter was on a show of the ‘Kids Top 20’ (Z@pp) in 2014.
